Minishort is a brand new Paris-based music promoter. We mainly work with rock bands (indie, pop, emo, screamo, hxc, noise, folk, post-rock, metalcore, punk..). We provide the catering and a place to stay for foreign bands. We promote the shows the best way we can: internet mailing-lists and forums, local and national medias, widely spread designers-made flyers/posters..
We also work on different events related to music, such as exhibitions.
We are a 5 person team, working with a few other people helping us setting up the shows. We all worked in another french promoting agency, which ceased its activities: Elliott's Bike (Ted Leo and the Pharmacists, Breather Resist, Okkervil River, Engine Down, Koufax, Rainer Maria, The Locust, These Arms are Snakes, Last Days of April, Constantines, Monochrome, Daïtro, Mihai Edrisch..).

Q: Why did you refuse to make my/this band play?
A: The most likely reason is that your music style doesn't suit to our tastes, but there are other booking agencies in Paris which may be interested in your music.
Q: I have a local band. What is the best way to make you guys listen to my music?
A: Send us a link to your website/myspace/purevolume/whatever. You can also send us your CD by postmail but don't forget to add a bio with it. We always answer to bands that send us stuff.
Q: Are you interested in organizing a show with my own association?
A: Yes, we can discuss it.
Q: Can I offer my help in order to be given a free ticket for a show?
A: Why not, we don't need/have a street team but any help would be appreciated and then rewarded.
Q: How can I be kept up to date about the next shows?
A: We will soon set up a newsletter form. For now you can regularly check our myspace page or check our RSS link. We also spread the word through forums and webzines and anywhere we can.
